Athenahealth Payerview

Humana has been named the easiest payer for medical providers to do business with in the industry. The 2008 claims payment data ranking, conducted by athenahealth was released on May 28. athenahealth is a medical service and software that conducts the survey annually as a way of grading insurance companies. Humana ranked first for fewest days in accounts receivable (DAR), which is one of the most heavily weighted measures in the index. Humana’s score improved 11.5 percent on this measure, dropping to 26.65 days in 2008 from 30.1 in 2007.

J.D. Power and Associates Award

Humana Health Plan of Texas received the prestigious J.D. Power and Associates award for "Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in Texas". This is the second consecutive year that Humana Health Plan has received this honorary award.

Also, Humana Health Plans in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina received the same award for "Highest Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in the South Atlantic Region".

2006 American Business Awards

In June 2006, Humana won a Stevie Award for our SmartSummary Rx^SM benefits statement. The statement was recognized in the Best New Product category at the 2006 American Business Awards.

2004 American Business Awards

In 2004, Humana was named a finalist in 3 categories: Most Innovative Company, Best Customer Service Organization, and Best Engineering Executive.

Consumer Directed Health Care Conference

Humana was named best example of technology facilitating consumer-directed health plan at the 2004 Consumer Directed Health Care Conference (CDHCC). The conference was held in April 2004.

Computerworld Premier 100

In 2004, ComputerWorld cited Humana's exceptional technology leadership, innovative approaches to business challenges, and effective execution of technology strategy.

eHealthcare Leadership Awards

Humana received awards in four consecutive years. In 2003, the company received Results Gold Awards for Best e-Business, Best Health/Healthcare Content, and Best Overall Internet site.

CIO 100

The CIO 100 Awards honor 100 companies that demonstrate excellence and achievement in information technology. In August 2003, Humana was recognized for demonstrating resourceful use of technology and excelling in generating greater value from limited resources.

Forrester Research CDHP Survey

The survey released in July 2003 stated: "A leader in the deployment of self-service technology, Humana's consumer-directed offerings feature the broadest access to customer service and content among the leading plans."
