Humana is committed to protecting your personal health and financial information. We protect the confidentiality of; prohibit the unlawful disclosure of and limit access to Social Security numbers. Humana has physical, technical, and administrative safeguards in place to secure your information. These safeguards follow federal and state laws. Examples of how we keep your personal information safe include offices and work areas that are kept secure, computers that require passwords, and locked storage areas and filing cabinets. We require our employees to protect your personal information through written policies and procedures. The policies limit access to your personal information to only those employees who need the information to complete a specific task and as allowed by law. Humana disposes of protected information in a manner that precludes identification of the individual and the subject matter.

Our goal is to protect your information as if it were our own.

Humana's Communication Policies

Humana contacts members through phone, e-mail, and U.S. mail. As a member, you can choose which method you prefer to receive specific communications by logging in to MyHumana.

Humana will never contact a member and ask for financial information like bank account numbers. Call the customer service number on the back of your member ID card if you receive any suspicious communications from individuals or companies claiming to be from Humana. Our customer service representatives can help you verify the legitimacy of the communication before you give out any information.
