You may see advertisements informing Walgreens customers that if their pharmacy benefits are managed by Express Scripts, Walgreens will no longer be in their network beginning Jan. 1, 2012.
The Express Scripts change will affect millions of its members, including those in groups insured through WellPoint, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Groups who are insured by other providers and have standalone Express Scripts benefits may be in a position to review moving or expanding their benefits with Humana.
