Agent Workbench: Your Go-to Tool for Quotes and Applications
At Humana, we're always on the lookout for ways to make our products not only attractive to the consumer, but easy for our agents to sell as well. With that in mind, we developed a new program that gives you the tools to make the sales process easier for you and the consumer alike.
Introducing Humana's Agent Workbench, or AWB. AWB is the fast, efficient way to get quotes, and submit and process applications all with a convenient and easy-to-use online interface.
AWB was built from the ground up with input from independent insurance agents who understand the value of delivering hassle-free quotes in a time frame that's convenient for both agents and their buyers.
To reach AWB:
Sign into the Agent portal and you'll find the link at the bottom right on the page. It's that easy. Everything you need for quotes, and submitting and processing applications can be found within AWB.
It's very important that you complete the electronic signature e-mail process with your clients.
- Follow up with them within a day or two of their application completion to make sure they received their electronic signature e-mail and completed the process
- Applications are not submitted to the Enrollment Center for processing without the electronic signature
- Applications submitted without an electronic signature will lead to a delay or potential denial of application

Tips for Streamlining Life and Supplemental Paper Application Process
Tip 1: Faxed applications MUST be paid using bank draft or credit card payment; no checks. Each application except the Junior Estate Builder contains a bank draft and credit card authorization section that should be completed when faxing an application. Junior Estate Builder only allows bank draft (not credit card payment). The bank draft authorization form for the Junior Estate Builder can be found on Humana.com via the Agent Portal. To find the forms, take these steps:
- Visit Humana.com and sign into the Agent Portal
- Click on "Marketing & Products"
- Under "Marketing/Order Marketing Materials," click "HumanaOne"
- Click "HumanaOne" on the next page
- Click "Life and Supplemental Insurance"
- Choose state
- Choose product
- Click on "Required for Sale"
- Look for the Junior Estate Builder Bank Authorization Form
Tip 2: When mailing an application and paying using the direct bill method, please be sure a payment check is included.
Tip 3: If the person paying is different from the person being insured, the person paying must fill out ALL payor information.
Tip 4: Taping items (i.e. voided checks, bank slips, etc.) directly to paper applications can cover required information and cause processing delays. Please tape items to a blank piece of paper and forward with the application.
Tip 5: Make sure all product- and state-specific supplemental forms are filled out in order to avoid delays and other problems. To find the forms, take these steps:
- Visit Humana.com and sign into the Agent Portal
- Click on "Marketing & Products"
- Under "Marketing/Order Marketing Materials," click "HumanaOne"
- Click on "HumanaOne" on the next page
- Click "Life and Supplemental Insurance"
- Choose state
- Choose product
- Click on "Required for Sale"
- Look for the forms below
Tip 6: For the "Critical Illness Cash Plan" additional healthcare provider information is needed if applicant or applicant spouse is age 60 or older. If this is not included, there could be delays. Be sure to provide your client the paper form or use the Agent Workbench for electronic applications. To find this form, take these steps:
- Visit Humana.com and sign into the Agent Portal
- Click on "Marketing & Products"
- Under "Marketing/Order Marketing Materials," click "HumanaOne"
- Click "HumanaOne" on the next page
- Click "Life and Supplemental Insurance"
- Choose state
- Choose product
- Click on "Required for Sale"
- Look for the Health Care Provider Information Form
