Changes ahead for ID card/Letter of Coverage/Proof of Coverage access

As of January 24, 2011, changes will be made to Humana.com reflecting Humana's privacy requirements. This is to make sure that information Humana has been entrusted with is only shared with those who have been authorized to view it.

If you sell group insurance, what does this mean for you?

To view an ID card/Letter of Coverage/Proof of Coverage, you will now need to log in to the secure Agent Website. After you log in, select the Employer link. You will now see two new links, "View Member ID Card" and "View Dental Proof of Coverage," on the secure Employer home page. From here you will also be able to view eligibility information and ask for ID cards. If you log in and do not see the links on the secure Employer Website, please contact your Primary Access Administrator (PAA).

If you sell individual insurance, what does this mean for you?

Agents who sell to individuals (i.e. Medicare and HumanaOne) will no longer be able to search for a member's ID card or proof of coverage. For your members to get their eligibility information, please direct them to register for MyHumana via www.humana.com.
