It's that easy.
The materials you'll find at the Agent Portal are designed for ease of use for both you and your clients. Humana has designed materials that are simply worded, and easy to follow – direct, concise communications to help your clients understand the material you're presenting to them. For an agent or broker, our approved materials help streamline the education, sales and applications processes, giving you a better sales experience overall.
The Dos and Don'ts
When it comes to selling health insurance products, accuracy is key. When you sell products with materials approved by Humana, you sell with confidence knowing that the product you're selling is backed by research from reliable sources.
Whether you're writing for a Website, presentation materials, sales flyers or employee enrollment materials, there are a few important things to remember:
- Only approved text or copy should be used when selling Humana products
- Competitor product information or data should NOT be used when marketing the value of Humana products
There are some basic marketing practices every broker should put into place:
- Always site a source when using a statistic
- Don't forget to include important disclaimer language such as waiting periods, exclusions and policy numbers
- When sending e-mail blasts, brokers and agents must follow FTC regulations by giving the recipient an opt-out option
- Each state has specific guidelines for insurance advertising. To ensure that you are following state healthcare advertising guidelines, consult your state's compliance department
