New WVB supplemental health- HSA qualified plan approved
Humana Supplemental Health is available for quoting, with July 1, 2011, effective dates of coverage for groups with as few as two eligible employees, in these states: Colorado, District of Columbia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Plan highlights:
- Four base plan options with optional riders
- Higher per day amounts compared to Health Care Plus plan
- Pays $100, $200, $300 or $500 per day for hospital stays
- Coverage available for spouse and children
- Optional wellness benefit pays $50, $100 or $150, depending on plan
- HSA Qualified
The plan pays cash benefits to employees, in addition to their medical plan, when they're hospitalized, have surgery, visit an emergency room, or see their doctor for an office visit. An annual health screen or wellness benefit rider is also available. They can use the benefits to help pay their share of medical costs, for transportation to and from doctors and treatment facilities, and everyday living expenses such as housing, car payments, utility bills, child care, groceries, and credit card bills – for any need they have.
