HumanaAccessSM Visa® Debit Card

The HumanaAccess Card is a key element of Humana's PCA, HSA, and healthcare FSA.

The card is a Visa debit card that gives members an easy, convenient way to access healthcare funds.

Provider payments

Members simply swipe the card at qualified provider locations — such as doctor’s and dentist’s offices, hospitals, and vision providers — or write the card number and expiration date on a bill, as they would when paying with a credit card. Members should keep a detailed receipt or EOB for every card transaction in case they need to verify an expense, as required by the IRS.

The convenience of the card increases spending account participation.

Pharmacy payments

Members can also use the card at the pharmacy for prescriptions and, in some cases, for qualified over-the-counter drugs*. Because Humana uses real-time substantiation, members do not have to substantiate prescription purchases.

* Members with a Health Savings Account (HSA) can use the HumanaAccess Card to buy over-the-counter (OTC) drugs directly from the pharmacy. The HumanaAccess Card can be used for OTCs in conjunction with an FSA or PCA at Walgreens retail locations.

Doubles as the member ID card

In many cases the HumanaAccess Card is also the member ID card, providing convenient access to both spending account funds and member information on one card.
