Retiree Wrap Medical Plan
Humana's Retiree Wrap Medical Plan is an indemnity product that supplements Original Medicare for retirees who are 65 and older. In addition, they provide primary coverage for the dependents of the retirees. Employers who qualify can customize the plan's benefits as long as the benefits are within the situs state's regulations.
To be eligible, retirees must be entitled to Medicare Part A and enrolled in Medicare Part B. Humana offers the Retiree Wrap plan as part of a full-replacement solution for customers who purchase a Group Medicare Advantage plan.
Humana's Retiree Wrap has been filed with 36 state Departments of Insurance (DOI) and is currently approved in 24 states. The state where the group is headquartered must be approved through DOI before the plan can be offered to retirees or dependents in any other states, unless the employer amends.
Retiree Pre-65 PPO medical plan
Humana's Pre-65 Retiree medical plans are designed for retirees younger than 65. Humana offers these insurance plans as part of a full-replacement solution for our Group Medicare Advantage customers. Employers that qualify can customize the plan's benefits as long as the benefits are within the situs state's regulations.
To offer this plan, the employer must be headquartered in one of the 24 states where Humana has filed plans with and been approved by the state Departments of Insurance (DOI). The state where the group is headquartered must be approved through the DOI before the plan can be offered to retirees or dependents in any other states, unless the employer amends.
Retiree Companion PPO medical plan
This Commercial PPO product is designed for retirees younger than 65 who are a dependent of a retiree on a current Group Medicare Advantage plan. Humana offers this insurance plan as part of a full-replacement solution for customers who purchase a Group Medicare Advantage plan.
Customers can choose from one of Humana's standard plan designs, but benefits cannot be customized.

For Texas customers: Texas doesn't allow companion plans. However, Humana may be able to offer a Retiree Wrap, which is a commercial – not Group Medicare – plan. With this indemnity product, coverage for the member and spouse depends on the member's age:
- For those younger than 65, the wrap plan pays primary
- For those 65 and older, the wrap plan pays secondary
