Coming January 1 to Humana Wellness Plus: Personal Coaches and Easier-To-Use Information
The New Year will bring exciting changes to the Humana Wellness Plus Program for employees. Starting January 1, 2011, the program will be more personal, easier to follow and better at helping our members reach their health goals.
Personal coaches will offer one-on-one guidance from the start.
As of January 1, 2011, Humana's Wellness Plus Package will be more personal and more effective in helping our members get engaged, stay motivated, and achieve their health goals. This enhancement gives each participant unlimited access to a personal health coach via phone, e-mail and online chat to support and guide them toward positive and sustainable life changes.
The enhancement includes personal health coaching and a robust wellness portal in place of the tailored online web programs (tobacco cessation, weight management, stress management, back care, and nutrition). Coaches can engage with members using their preferred delivery method on a broader range of topics. Through the new wellness portal, members can choose how and when to engage with their coach via telephone coaching, email, online chat, or content only. This allows members to best interact with their health coach, who will guide them toward long-term, positive changes in their health.
Coaches can proactively send personalized health and wellness resources directly to the member. In addition, members can visit the new online Wellness Portal that lets them use helpful tools such as journals, trackers and a large medical library.
It's all about helping employees stay healthy.
These changes are designed to make it easier for employees to make healthy changes and to keep them up. And members will receive support and encouragement all along the way.
These changes will affect current fully insured and ASO Humana customers with the Wellness Plus Program as well as those who will buy the program in the future.
Anyone currently using any of the self-guided wellness tools, such as Breathe, Relax, Balance, Care for your Back or Nourish, will receive information about how to transition to the new program in the coming weeks.
