How can Humana's Transplant Services team help me?
Humana's Transplant Services team will guide you through the entire transplant process--beginning when you become a candidate for transplant all the way through one year after you receive your transplant.
What is a transplant evaluation?
A transplant evaluation includes consultations, tests and X-rays ordered by the transplant program doctors for the patient and potential donors before transplantation.
How do I receive a transplant evaluation referral and who is responsible for coordinating referrals between my doctor and other specialists?
The Transplant Nurses are available at 1-866-421-5663, will provide you with a transplant evaluation referral and ensure a timely coordination of referrals.
What type of help will the Transplant nurses provide?
The Transplant nurse will help coordinate your transplant needs, explain your benefits and help with any other transplant issues you may have.
How long will the Transplant nurse work with me?
The Transplant nurse will work with you from the initial evaluation up to one year after the transplant.
