Humana expectant mother coverage.

Program for Expectant Mothers

So you're going to have a baby!

If you're a Humana member, and your employer offers HumanaBeginnings®, you're invited to sign up for this free program for expectant mothers. HumanaBeginnings can help you understand your baby's development and take care of yourself. By staying healthy during your pregnancy, you'll help keep your baby healthy, too.

What You Get From HumanaBeginnings

After you enroll in HumanaBeginnings, you'll receive a popular guidebook on pregnancy. Over the next several months, you'll get HumanaBeginnings newsletters that offer health and fitness tips and highlight the changes you can expect during each phase of your pregnancy.

Best of all, your HumanaBeginnings nurse can help you get information and resources tailored to your unique situation. Following your enrollment, a specially trained HumanaBeginnings nurse will call to talk with you about your pregnancy and general health. At this time, you and the nurse will also plan the dates and times for future conversations. During subsequent calls, the nurse will answer your questions, provide guidance and support, and refer you to community resources if appropriate.

Soon after your baby's birth, the nurse will call to see if you need additional support or information.

Who's Eligible For HumanaBeginnings

In most cases, expectant mothers who have health insurance through Humana are eligible for the HumanaBeginnings program.
