Overview

The HumanaDental Dental HMO/Prepaid plan focuses on prevention and maintaining oral health.

With this plan, you can see your primary care dentist as often as necessary. There are no yearly maximums, no deductibles, and no waiting periods. Each member on your plan can choose his or her own dentist.

How it works

You select an in-network primary care dentist to take care of your dental needs. You pay a pre-negotiated price for services provided by this dentist.

The plan doesn't cover services from out-of-network dentists, except for emergency care.

How it works

With this plan, you pay a pre-negotiated price for services provided by your primary care dentist.

Each covered family member selects a primary care dentist in the HumanaDental Prepaid/DHMO network. This dentist takes care of the member's dental needs. Your primary care dentist may decide that you need to see an in-network dental specialist.

The plan doesn't cover services from out-of-network dentists, except for emergency care.

Because services are prepaid, you know what to expect:

  • No waiting period
  • No claims to file
  • No annual maximums
