Humana - Guidance when you need it most

Getting Started

Before you start your enrollment...

Read your Enrollment Guide
  • Use the resources in your Enrollment Guide to review last year's spending - including premiums, out-of pocket medical costs, and prescription drug costs. If you already have a Humana plan, you can review last year's health expenses in the Enrollment Center.
  • Consider how last year's plan worked for you - too much coverage, too little, or just right?
  • Think about how your family's healthcare needs might be different during the upcoming year.

Check your computer

Whether you enroll from work or home, you'll need a computer with Internet access. To ensure compatibility with Humana's systems and the security of your personal information, the computer should have one of the following browsers:
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
  • Netscape 6.0 or higher

Disabling Pop-up Blockers

If you're using software that blocks pop-up windows, you may need to disable this feature before you use Humana's online Enrollment Center. Pop-up blockers may be built into your Web browser such as Internet Explorer 6 and 7. Or you may have downloaded a separate pop-up blocker.

When you enroll there will be more information provided about how to disable your pop-up blocker.

Set aside enough time to make a confident choice

On average, selecting your health plan using the Wizard takes about an hour. You may need more or less time, depending on how many dependents you enroll, how extensively you compare your options, and whether you use all of the tools available.

However, if you need to stop at any point along the way, you can save your information and come back to it later.

Basic Information

If you didn't log in through MyHumana, you'll go to the Enrollment Center log-in screen, where you'll enter some basic information about yourself:
  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Home ZIP code

Life Changing Events

During the plan year, you can change your benefit coverage if a qualified change in status affects your or your dependents' eligibility under your employer's plans.
