Humana Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) Standard is a budget-friendly option for people who don't use a lot of prescription drugs. The plan provides the minimum prescription drug coverage required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

How the plan works

Humana PDP Standard is a basic plan equal to the federal government's minimum requirements:

You have a $265 deductible
After you meet the deductible, Humana pays 75 percent, and you pay 25 percent, until total drug costs reach $2,400
If your drug costs go above $2,400, you enter the "coverage gap" – you pay 100 percent of drug costs until you've spent a total out-of-pocket of $3,850 on covered drugs
After that, Humana pays 95 percent, and you pay 5 percent, for the remainder of the plan year
