New Card Functionality at Walgreens

Members who are enrolled in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Personal Care Accounts (PCAs) can now purchase over-the-counter drugs (OTCs) at Walgreens using their HumanaAccessSM Visa® Debit card. This solution, first introduced in a limited capacity, is now considered a standard HumanaAccess card offering for groups who allow OTCs to be purchased from their FSA or PCA.

When members purchase OTCs at Walgreens, they simply swipe their HumanaAccess card and funds will be deducted from their FSA or PCA automatically. Members can only use their card at Walgreens retail locations; they cannot utilize this benefit while shopping at the Walgreens' online store.

Members can still use other forms of payment when purchasing OTCs and then submit manual claims for reimbursement to Humana, if they choose. For help with reimbursing accounts or questions related to the HumanaAccess card processes, call Humana's spending account team at 1-800-604-6228. A list of eligible OTCs can be obtained when a member registers for MyHumana by visiting www.humana.com and clicking on the "Members" and then the "Register Today" button.
