Drug List Search Feature on Humana.com

Humana would like to remind providers to take advantage of the many features of the Drug List Search available on Humana.com. To access the list, simply visit www.humana.com, click on "Providers" and then "Prescription Tools" in the "Quick Links" box. Then, click on "Drug List Search."

Providers can start the search by taking the following steps:

1. Select a Humana prescription drug plan category, either Medicare plans or commercial group health plans.
2. Search for drug using one of four methods:
   a. Drug name — enter first 3 letters of drug name
   b. Alphabetical search — search all drugs by first letter
   c. Therapeutic class search — search for drugs according to therapeutic class, such as cardiology, oncology and other specialties
   d. Most commonly referenced drugs list — click directly on the name of some of the most searched drugs

When searching for a drug under the Medicare plan category, the specific drug information for Humana's Medicare Part D formulary will be displayed, including:

• Drug name
• Drug type: generic, preferred, nonpreferred and specialty

When searching for a drug under the commercial group health plans category, the following information is available:

• Drug name
• Brand or generic
• Rx3 level
• Rx4 level
• RxImpact group
• High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)

Regardless of the category, information on whether a drug requires any type of prior authorization, dispensing limits, authorization for continued therapy, quantity limits or step therapy is shown. Allowing the provider to view this information before prescribing medication can help to streamline the process for the member getting the prescription filled. Providers are also given a list of possible alternative prescription drugs that are available in the same therapeutic class.

The Drug List Search feature also allows providers to view drug-specific information, including:

• Generic name
• Side effects
• Precautions
• Drug interactions

Some other helpful tools offered as part of the Drug List Search include:

• Link that allows users to toggle back and forth between Medicare plans and commercial group health plans for the same drug
• A viewable and printable version of the Provider Drug List

The goal of the Drug List Search is to enable providers to search for prescription drugs covered by Humana's prescription benefit plans in a convenient and up-to-date format on www.humana.com. The Drug List is updated weekly, and contains information on approximately 12,000 drugs.
