Humana Expands Laboratory
Options for Providers, Members

While many of Humana’s competitors are signing exclusive deals with one national laboratory services provider, Humana remains committed to providing choices for its members and providers. In fact, Humana’s network of participating outpatient clinical laboratories has recently expanded to include both Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) and Quest Diagnostics for all Humana plans and products nationwide. As a result, providers can now utilize the services offered by LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics, offering Humana members more choices among leading providers of laboratory and testing services.

In Texas, providers and members may also choose Sonic/Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL).

Use the following contact information to locate a lab near you:

LabCorpwww.labcorp.com or 1-888-LABCORP (1-888-522-2677)

Quest Diagnosticswww.questdiagnostics.com or 1-888-889-3691

Sonic/CPL (Texas only) – www.cpllabs.com or 1-800-595-1275

For Humana members choosing to use Quest Diagnostics, appointments for visits to a Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Center (PSC) can be made by visiting www.questdiagnostics.com/appointment or by calling the interactive voice response system at (888) 277-8772. In addition to allowing members to schedule the time of their appointment, the Quest Diagnostics Appointment Scheduling System reminds them to bring the required insurance verification and physicians’ orders and advises on an appropriate fasting schedule, if applicable. Walk-in patients are welcome.
