New Names for Group Medicare Products

Beginning in 2007, Humana’s Group Medicare products will be called Humana Group Medicare [PFFS, HMO, PPO, PDP, Supplement, Custom].

Previously, the group products shared the same name as the individual products —Humana Gold Choice®, Humana Gold Plus®, HumanaChoicePPO and Humana Prescription Drug Plan. The new names give the group products a clear, separate identity that better reflect Humana’s unique Group Medicare capabilities.

Shown here is an image of the Humana Group Medicare PFFS card.

Over the next few months, Humana will use the new names in Group Medicare materials, including ID cards, sales and marketing collateral and benefits pieces. These changes were also communicated to current Group Medicare members in the Annual Notification of Changes (ANOC) letter sent in October.

Providers should treat Humana group members under the same terms and conditions as members who are enrolled in Humana’s individual plans (Humana Gold Choice, Humana Gold Plus and HumanaChoicePPO). Service claims should be submitted to the address on the back of the member identification card.
