A Humana member holding a HumanaAccess Visa card

HumanaAccessSM Visa® Debit Card

The HumanaAccess Card is a Visa debit card issued to members who have certain types of "spending accounts" such as FSA or HSA. The card can be used to pay for covered expenses out of the member's account. As a convenience for members, the HumanaAccess Card is combined with the member's medical ID card in many cases.

Effective Jan. 1, 2011, over-the-counter (OTC) medications such as pain relievers, cough syrup, and allergy medicines require a prescription to be eligible for reimbursement from an FSA or PCA. The HumanaAccess Card cannot be used to purchase OTC medications.
