Beginning in 2011, Humana is offering FEHB program members a tobacco cessation program for all forms of tobacco use, including cigarettes, snuff and chewing tobacco. The program does not require copayments or coinsurance, and is not subject to deductibles or annual or lifetime dollar limits.

The program includes two quit attempts per year, with up to four tobacco cessation counseling sessions of at least 30 minutes each. This includes proactive telephone counseling, group counseling and individual counseling.

Additionally, over-the-counter (OTC) and prescribed medications that are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat tobacco dependence for tobacco cessation are covered with no copayments or coinsurance and are not subject to deductibles or annual or lifetime dollar limits (download the PDF below for a list of approved medications).

If your FEHB program-covered patients would like more information, they may call the customer service phone number listed on the back of their ID cards, or call the Humana Wellness Help Line at 1-877-567-6450.
