The HumanaAccess Card is a key element of Humana’s Health Savings Account (HSA), Personal Care Account (PCA) and health care Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
The card gives members an easy way to access spending account funds at health-related provider locations such as doctors' offices and pharmacies. |
Easy to use at provider locations
Simply swipe the card or write the card number and expiration date on the bill. Members will need a detailed receipt or explanation of benefits for every card transaction for verification purposes.
Easy to use at the pharmacy
Members also can use the card at the pharmacy for prescriptions and, in some cases, for qualified over-the-counter drugs*. Because Humana uses real-time substantiation, members with a Humana medical plan don't have to verify prescription purchases later.
* Members with a Health Savings Account (HSA) can use the HumanaAccess Card to buy over-the-counter (OTC) drugs directly from the pharmacy. The HumanaAccess Card can be used for OTC drugs in conjunction with an FSA or PCA at Walgreens retail locations.
Doubles as the member ID card
In many cases, the HumanaAccess Card also is the member's ID card — so it provides convenient, all-in-one access to both spending account funds and health plan information.
