Humana Gold Plus® is a Medicare Advantage Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plan that offers broad coverage.
With an HMO plan, members choose a primary care physician (PCP) who coordinates their care and refers them to specialists when needed. PCP referrals are not required in Louisiana and Puerto Rico.

How the plan works
With Humana Gold Plus, members enjoy the following:

- Coverage for most annual screenings at no charge
- Hospitalization
- Prescription drug coverage equal to or better than the minimum requirements for a Medicare Part D plan*
- Emergency coverage anywhere in the world
