Humana Updates Code-editing Software for Medicare Advantage Plans
In accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, Humana Medicare Advantage plans will no longer reimburse for the following devices:
- Oximeter device for measuring blood oxygen levels noninvasively (HCPCS code E0445)
- Oxygen probe for use with a replacement oximeter device (HCPCS code A4606)
These items are not covered, as they are considered monitoring devices that provide information to physicians to assist in managing the patient’s treatment.
