Medical Records Management Tool
Medical Records Management tool enhancements are now available on the secure provider website at Humana.com/providers (registration required). The tool provides a faster, more efficient way to receive medical records requests from Humana. The enhancement allows health care providers to submit or track medical record submissions for many Humana departments, including claims (commercial, Medicare and HumanaOne®), grievance and appeals (G&A), special investigations unit (SIU), subrogation and more.
The Medical Records Management tool enables health care providers to do the following:
- Decrease duplicate requests from Humana by using our new automated consolidation software, which works between departments within Humana
- Receive medical records requests from Humana via email
- Submit requested medical records quickly and securely online (in TIF or PDF format) at Humana.com/providers
- View the status of submissions on Humana.com/providers
- View completed and open/new requests on the Medical Records Management tool
Log into Humana.com/providers and select "Resources" to view medical records requests.
Access to the new Medical Records Management tool is granted by the Primary Access Administrator (PAA). Health care providers should speak with their PAA directly to gain access.
