Special Hurricane Updates for Humana Health Care Providers

These messages have been updated as of  December 15, 2005.

The emergency rules enacted by Louisiana Department of Insurance Commissioner Robert Wooley for those Humana members and contracted providers impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita have expired. The following notices contain information that became effective December 1, 2005.

Big changes are coming to Medicare in 2006!

Your "Annual Notification of Change" brochure from Humana discusses how these changes affect you.

Humana understands that many of our Gulf Coast members may be displaced by this season’s devastating storms and many not have received this important information.

If you have not received this brochure, please call a Humana Customer Service Representative at 800-457-4708 or TDD 800-833-3301 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, Central Time to request your copy. The representative will ask for your current mailing address. Please be prepared to provide a temporary mailing address if you are still unable to receive mail at your regular address.
