2011 Summer National Senior Games

As the Presenting Sponsor for the Summer National Senior Games, Humana encourages mature adults to pursue active, healthy lifestyles.

Whether you're a competitive athlete, just getting started, or somewhere in between, you can benefit socially, mentally, and physically from activities you enjoy.

About the 2011 Senior Games

The Summer National Senior Games are governed by the National Senior Games Association (NSGA). The NSGA is a non-profit member of the United States Olympic Committee dedicated to motivating senior men and women to lead a healthy lifestyle through the senior games movement.

The 2011 Senior Games will take place in Houston, TX, from June 19–July 5, 2011. Adults 50 and older qualify in alternating years at state-level games.

Humana began sponsoring the Senior Games in 2006. We were the presenting sponsor for the games held in Louisville in 2007 and San Francisco in 2009.

Information on National Senior Games Association

The National Senior Games Association (NSGA) has 50 member states that hold local and state games. NSGA estimates that the games involve 350,000 seniors annually. The next National Games won't occur again until 2011, but Phil Godfrey, president and CEO of the NSGA, leaves us with a thought to consider while we wait for the next national competition: "I challenge each participant to go home and get one person involved who is not currently exercising. That is the best thing you can possibly do."
