It starts with employees taking a Health Assessment that focuses on their daily routines. Once completed, they'll know their Vitality Age which tells if they are living younger or older than their actual age.

A key part of HumanaVitality is your Personal Pathway. Based on employees' Health Assessment results and other information, we recommend personalized goals and activities to help you live a healthier life.

Each employee will have a program designed just for them and their wellness improved health, and they’ll earn Vitality Points for certain activities they do to reach their goals.

Employees can earn Vitality Points for reaching certain target levels while wearing a fitness device, like a pedometer, biking to work, and taking a walk after dinner.

Healthy Living

Employees are rewarded for completing their Vitality Check®, a biometric screening, and having in-range screening results. A Vitality Check measures health indicators such as BMI, blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Plus, eligible members with Vitality HealthyFood can earn additional savings for completing their Vitality Check every program year1.

Staying on track

Staying on track and motivated is easier when you track your progress. Employees can sync their fitness devices, such as pedometers and heart rate monitors, to their HumanaVitality account and earn Vitality Points for workouts. Plus they'll have the opportunity to earn Vitality Points every time they hit the gym at one of our partner health clubs (or by synching fitness devices).

And with Vitality HealthyFood, your clients will learn that buying healthier food does not have to be expensive! Vitality HealthyFood gives savings** on all Great For You healthier foods at Walmart® every time they use the Vitality HealthyFood Shopping Card. These nutritious favorites include everything from fresh fruits and veggies, peanut butter and whole wheat pasta, to whole grain cereals and granola bars, a wide assortment of frozen and canned foods, and much more. The Great For You logo points shoppers to eligible foods, taking the guesswork out of eating healthy.

To get the Vitality HealthyFood Shopping Card, clients will need to take the HumanaVitality Health Assessment. Once that’s done, they can request their Shopping Card and start saving!

Once employees start earning Vitality Bucks, they’ll be able to turn them into great rewards at the HumanaVitality Mall. Movie tickets, hotel stays, digital cameras, and more are available as a reward to employees for making healthy choices.

Vitality HealthyFood is not available to all HumanaVitality members and is only available with certain plans or products offered by Humana. To check your Vitality Status or see if you are eligible for Vitality HealthyFood, sign in to your account. For a listing of all qualifying Great For You healthier food items, visit the Vitality HealthyFood page on, check, or call the number on the back of your member ID card. Vitality HealthyFood is only available at Walmart Neighborhood Markets and Walmart retail stores. Sam’s Club stores and are excluded from Vitality HealthyFood.

**Vitality HealthyFood savings are based on your Vitality Status and increase as your Vitality Status increases. View a complete list of savings by visiting the Vitality HealthyFood page on or on the HumanaVitality mobile app. Complete your Health Assessment within 90 days of your HumanaVitality program start or renewal date to remain eligible for program savings. Refer to your plan summary or Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to determine your program start date. If your savings appear inaccurate, contact the number on the back of your Humana ID card.
