Humana’s plans give your Medicare-eligible clients access to coverage choices that help meet their specific needs. We help you understand the range of options and policies available for individuals so you can support your clients and assist them in making the right decisions for their health needs and budget.
To help individuals get more out of their healthcare dollars, Humana offers Medicare Advantage plans that include benefits beyond Original Medicare (Parts A and B). With these plans, clients can take advantage of special features such as more predictable costs, which make it easier to budget monthly healthcare expenses and international coverage for medical emergencies.
Humana currently does not offer any Medicare Advantage plans for individuals in Alaska.

Humana’s stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plans (PDPs) help individuals balance their health needs and healthcare costs. "Stand-alone” PDPs are separate from Medicare medical coverage. They let clients add prescription drug coverage to their Original Medicare (Parts A and B) coverage.
In Alaska, Humana offers the following Medicare prescription drug plans for individuals:
Low premium nationwide— $18.40 per month.
No deductible on Tiers 1 and 2, $360 annual deductible on Tiers 3, 4, and 5.
Plan offers copays as low as $1 on certain generic drugs at Walmart and Sam’s Club and mail-order copays as low as $0 for a 90-day supply of certain generic drugs at Humana Pharmacy®, the mail-order pharmacy that offers preferred cost-sharing.
Prescription drug plan coverage with retail pharmacy copays as low as $1 for Tier 1 prescriptions when filled at pharmacies such as Walmart and Sam’s Club. $360 deductible.
Humana’s broadest prescription drug plan coverage, with fixed copayments and no deductible.
These plans help cover costs such as deductibles and coinsurance. Clients can keep the same doctors and are still in the Medicare program. They also have all the rights and protections associated with Medicare.
In Alaska, Humana offers the following Medicare Supplement Insurance plans for individuals:
Medicare Supplement Plan A is ideal for people who want more coverage than Medicare Parts A and B, but don't anticipate using a lot of healthcare services. It provides basic coverage for hospitalization, medical expenses, and hospice care. With Plan A, clients pay both Medicare Part A and Part B deductibles.
Plan B provides basic benefits for medical expenses and hospice care. It offers a bit more than basic coverage for hospitalization. It may be a good fit for those who want more coverage than Medicare Parts A and B, especially for hospital expenses. Plan B enrollees are responsible for paying the Part B deductible.
For clients who can pay a little more each month, Plan C offers predictable healthcare costs. Plan C includes more than basic benefits, including coverage for the Part A and Part B deductibles, skilled nursing care, and emergency care abroad.
Plan F offers basic benefits plus coverage for both Part A and Part B deductibles, skilled nursing care, emergency care abroad, and Part B excess charges (the difference between what a provider charges and Medicare will pay). Plan F provides full coverage with few to no out-of-pocket expenses outside of monthly premium.
Plan F has a high deductible option offering the same benefits but requiring members to meet an annual, calendar year deductible before benefits begin.
Relatively low premiums make this policy best for clients looking to control monthly costs while ensuring fair coverage. With a Plan K, 50% of claims are covered. To avoid higher expenses in cases of unforeseen medical need, Plan K offers clients an out-of-pocket maximum that limits what they have to pay annually.
This low-premium plan offers a range of benefits including medical services, hospice care, hospitalization, and Part B coinsurance. The plan pays 75% of healthcare costs, and clients are responsible for the balance. There is an annual out-of-pocket maximum.

Humana Pharmacy mail delivery shipments for new prescriptions are typically received within 7-10 days from the date of your order and in 5-7 days for a refill. If you don’t receive your shipment within this time frame, call 1-800-379-0092 (TTY: 711). Humana Pharmacy is available Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 11 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Eastern time.
Other pharmacies are available in our network.
You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium.

Humana’s pharmacy network, for both the Humana-Walmart and Humana-Preferred prescription drug plans, offers limited access to pharmacies with preferred cost sharing in urban areas of AL, CA, CT, DC, DE, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, VA, VT, WA, WV, WY; suburban areas of AZ, CA, CT, DE, HI, IL, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, PR, RI, VT, WA, WV; and rural areas of AK, DC, IA, MN, MT, ND, NE, SD, VT, WY. There are an extremely limited number of preferred cost share pharmacies in urban areas in the following states: CT, MA, MI, MO, MS, NC, NY, OH, RI, SC and VT. The lower costs advertised in our plan materials for these pharmacies may not be available at the pharmacy you use.
