What exactly is an eVisits?

eVisits use existing and new technologies to expand access to doctors while ensuring security and reliability for care. Think of an eVisit as a secure Skype or Facetime session, which allows real-time secure video to enable doctor visits for non-emergency care. eVisits allow the comfort and convenience of caring for you or a loved one as easy as connecting to your PC, tablet or smartphone for a video chat.

What can eVisits provide me?

eVisits can may save you valuable time because you can see a doctor from the comfort of your own home.

What can be treated by eVisits?

eVisits are intended for triaging and diagnosing non-emergent symptoms and providing patient education. It also allows for on-the-spot Specialist consultations, as needed.

eVisits enable the care for certain conditions like:

  • Upper respiratory infections
  • Cold, cough, sore throat, sinus infection
  • Flu
  • Allergies
  • Asthma
  • Ear and eye problems
  • Skin conditions

How can eVisits help me?

eVisits provide the convenience of connecting with a doctor from your home or office at the same cost as a Primary Care visit.

eVisits availability will vary depending on location and contract. Not available for all markets or plans. Humana does not currently provide a direct to consumer eVisits services at this time. Please consult your doctor to see if eVisits are available through their office.

These programs and tools are not insurance products and are not guaranteed under any contract. Humana is not required to provide these services, but makes them available to eligible members at no additional cost.
