Basic term life insurance

Basic term life insurance, also known as employer-sponsored insurance, is a perfect plan to provide you with peace of mind.

Key features

Humana plans of include the following:
  • Available coverage – A flat amount, a multiple of your salary rounded to the next $1,000, or based on employee classification
  • Minimum coverage – $10,000 or $15,000, depending on the size of your group
  • Maximum coverage – Depends on the size of your group

Guaranteed issue amounts

  • Waiver of premium – Premiums will be waived for an insured after total disability for six months commencing prior to his/her 60th birthday. Premiums will be waived until age 65
  • Accelerated benefit for terminal illness – Benefit of 50% of basic group term insurance but not to exceed $250,000 will be paid upon proof of terminal illness

Additional benefits

Your employer's plan may also include these optional features:
