What is the difference between the HumanaVitality Health Assessment and a Vitality Check? The Health Assessment is a questionnaire that members fill out. The Vitality Check is a biometric screening conducted by a health professional to assess cholesterol, blood pressure, blood glucose and BMI.
When you decide to get healthier with HumanaVitality, there are two important things you can do to get started: Take your health assessment and get a Vitality Check. So, what are they and how are they different?
First, the Health Assessment is a questionnaire you fill out about your typical health and habits. It takes about 15 minutes to complete, and you can fill it out either by signing in to HumanaVitality.com or by downloading the HumanaVitality App on your Smartphone. The Vitality Check, on the other hand, is a biometric screening taken by an authorized clinician to give you a clear picture of what is really going on within your body. The clinician will take your weight and Blood pressure, calculate your Body Mass Index (or BMI), then draw your blood to analyze your cholesterol and blood glucose levels. When you complete both the Health Assessment and the Vitality Check, you will receive your Vitality Age, which tells you how young or old your body is living, compared to your actual age. Then, you’ll set goals and work throughout the year to complete them in an effort to improve or maintain your health.
