What is covered by my Dental Plan?
Dental plans vary. Humana MyOption optional supplemental benefits (OSB) plans, for example, are only available to members of certain Humana Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. Members of Humana plans that offer OSBs may enroll in OSBs throughout the year. Benefits may change on January 1 each year.
Some MA plans may also have built-in dental benefits, called mandatory supplemental benefits (MSB).When you enroll in a Humana MA plan that shows available MSB dental coverage, and you chose not to purchase an OSB dental plan, you'll automatically have access to the MSB dental coverage built into your plan, with no additional premium charge.
Your Evidence of Coverage outlines what OSB and MSB dental options are available under your Humana MA plan.
To access your Medicare Dental Benefits, members can view the Humana Medicare Advantage Benefit Descriptions to locate the benefits listed under their DEN number. Each dental plan can be identified by its unique 3-digit dental (DENxxx), which is found on the back of your Humana Medicare Advantage member ID card.

We recommend using the language below when making an appointment or visiting your dentist:
“My dental benefits are included in my Humana Medicare Advantage plan and are not considered separate dental insurance. These benefits are provided by dentists in the Humana Dental Medicare PPO Network (or in the case of Florida, indicate that the network is the Florida GoldPlus Dental network.)”
