Humana ICD-10 mailbox closing

Humana plans to deactivate a dedicated email address for questions about the ICD-10 code set. While the ICD10inquiries@humana.com mailbox will close April 29, 2016, Humana will still offer ICD-10 support to health care providers.

Questions regarding code editing can be submitted by health care providers on the Availity Web Portal or the secure provider area of Humana.com. Registration is required for both websites.

For other ICD-10 questions, health care providers may use the following phone numbers:

Medicare: 1-800-457-4708

Assistance is available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday.

To submit a code editing question at Availity.com

  • Log in to the Availity Web Portal, then select “Claims” from the links on the left.
  • Choose “Research Procedure Code Edits” to access the tool.

If you are not registered for Availity’s secure portal, go to Availity.com (link opens in new window) and select “GET STARTED” to sign up.

To submit a code editing question at Humana.com

  • Log in, then select the “Claims Tools” tab at the top of the page.
  • Choose “Code Editing Questions” from the links on the left.
