Humana is required to include information about all claims, including encounters and claims processed by delegates, on the Medicare Part C explanations of benefits (EOBs) it sends to members. This information will be included on all future Part C EOBs. In addition, because encounters and claims processed by delegates from April 2014 to the present date have not been included on previous Part C EOBs, they are included on the Part C EOB for February.
This information may prompt questions about encounters from your patients. If a patient calls with questions, explain the claim to the best of your ability. If the patient still has questions, he or she may contact Humana Customer Care at the phone number listed on his or her Humana ID card.
