Humana and Independent Living Systems (ILS) End Partnership

On Jan. 1, 2021, Humana assumed all administrative responsibilities of the long-term services and supports waiver services. Effective Dec. 31, 2020, Humana and Independent Living Systems (ILS) ended a contract in the Humana Gold Plus® Integrated (Medicare-Medicaid Plan).

Providers should continue to submit claims, complaints, and disputes for dates of service (DOS) prior to Jan. 1, 2021 to ILS, opens new window. ILS LTSS providers who need information regarding eligibility, authorizations or claims status can access the LTSS provider portal here, opens new window through Dec. 31, 2021.

Providers contracted with Humana should submit claims to Humana for dates of service (DOS) on or after Jan. 1, 2021. For details on how to submit claims and other plan information, please refer to the Humana – LTSS Provider Resource Guide and Claims Billing Guide below.

Humana will honor all existing prior authorizations provided to us by ILS and providers can view prior authorization through the Humana Provider Portal hosted by Availity.com, opens new window, or by calling the new provider number, 800-787-3311, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Central time.
