Humana Pharmacy® offers secure mail-delivery pharmacy services that aim to provide potential cost savings, safety and accuracy to Humana members.
Humana recognizes that members have the sole discretion to choose their pharmacy. Please use your independent medical judgment when advising patients regarding pharmacy choices. Other pharmacies are available in Humana’s network. Prescription drug plan members should refer to their plan benefit information to verify their pharmacy mail-order benefit.
Depending on your Humana-insured patients’ health plans, Humana Pharmacy may help reduce their prescription drug costs. A deductible may apply.
If you have electronic prescribing capabilities, you can transmit your patient's 3-month supply prescription directly to Humana Pharmacy. Simply choose "Humana Pharmacy" from the list of available pharmacies.
Fax the physician fax form to 1-800-379-7617. Humana Pharmacy will accept faxes only from healthcare providers.
Call Humana Pharmacy at 1-800-379-0092, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Eastern time.
Medicare patient consent: If your Medicare patient is new to using Humana Pharmacy, please ask him or her to call 1-800-379-0092 to consent to the shipment of new prescriptions submitted by your office. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services requires mail-delivery pharmacies to obtain Medicare member permission before shipment of new prescriptions sent to Humana Pharmacy by a prescriber.
