How the program works

The Executive Physician Immersion Program is a two-year commitment designed to provide comprehensive and detailed understanding of executive leadership at Humana. Your first year of thought focus is a blend of various functional areas throughout Humana, which provides you with a high-level overview of our organization. During the second year, you are operationally focused on the details at the core of the business.

Year 1

Marketing

You will be embedded in a physician-centric marketing team to develop a strategic and operational marketing skillset

Strategy

You will work with senior leadership including the CEO, CFO and others to deliver high-impact corporate and business unit strategy projects

Innovation

You will partner with the innovation team as it works to ultimately improve the health care landscape through a simplified experience

Healthcare Quality Reporting & Improvement

You will partner with HQRI to develop of deep understanding of core strategies relating to Quality and STARS measures.

Year 2

Operational focus

Risk & Compliance

You will learn the core compliance strategies as you navigate state and federal CMS requirements.

Healthcare Services

You will engage with teams across the organization to support pharmacy, behavioral health, quality, home health, and more.

Market

You will work on initiatives to support local health care providers in delivering high-quality, cost-effective care

Choose a new area of the company to explore or revisit a previous rotation to broaden your experience.
