Humana will continue to update its code editing software throughout the year as part of an ongoing effort to improve claims processing. These updates will align the software with correct-coding initiatives, national benchmarks, industry standards and CMS guidelines. Updates will be posted, along with additional information, to Humana.com/edits on the first Friday of each month. The updates will indicate each item’s implementation date.
For California physicians and health care providers, these updates will not affect any contractual obligation with a contracted independent practice association (IPA). The updates pertain only to participation with Humana’s ChoiceCare Network contract.
