Did you know HumanaVitality® members can earn 200 Vitality Points by getting a flu shot? With the arrival of fall comes cooler temperatures, it also means it’s flu season. Even if you're healthy, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), it is recommended that you get a flu shot. You won't catch the flu from a flu shot, and you can get the flu no matter what it feels like outside.

To earn Vitality Points after receiving your flu shot, submit proof of flu shot completion with the date of service, or certificate document indicating the date and service. You will automatically earn Vitality Points after receiving your flu shot if your flu shot is billed with a Humana medical plan. If your flu shot is not billed through a Humana medical plan, you must submit a Prevention Activity form along with proof within 90 days of the service. Here’s how it works.

  1. Sign in to HumanaVitality.com

  2. Go to your Dashboard

  3. Go to Get Healthy tab/Healthy Living

  4. Download Prevention Activity Form

  • Children younger than 5, and especially children 6 months to 24 months old; People 50 years of age and older
  • People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions
  • People who live in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities
  • Health care workers
  • Household contacts of people at high risk for complications from the flu
  • Household contacts and out-of-home caregivers of children less than 6 months of age (these children are too young to be vaccinated) ¹
