While we suggest adults should walk at least 10,000 steps a day, we recognize that’s a pretty far distance for someone just starting out. This month, we’re launching new goals to meet our members at their current physical activity level. If you currently workout less than an hour per week, and are interested in increasing your physical activity, HumanaVitality can help you get started. When you complete the Health Assessment and indicate your level of physical activity, you may qualify for a Get Started on your Physical Activity goal. If you receive that goal as a result of your Health Assessment results, and once you activate the Get Started on Physical Activity goal, you will receive either a 5,000 or 7,500 steps per day goal, depending on the activity level you were given.
