When can I appeal an unfavorable Part C coverage determination?

If you have received an unfavorable Part C determination, you can ask for a reconsideration (appeal) by following the instructions given in the determination or as outlined below. Reconsiderations can be requested on any adverse determination. An expedited reconsideration can be requested if you believe that waiting for a decision under the standard time frame could seriously jeopardize the life or health of the member, or the ability to regain maximum function.
