No referrals are needed with a PFFS plan, but you’ll need to show your Humana member ID card each time you go to a healthcare provider to be sure they still accept the terms of your plan.
Most PFFS plans offer prescription drug coverage and all include emergency coverage anywhere in or out of the U.S. Like all Medicare Advantage plans, PFFS plans include all the benefits of Medicare Parts A and B. They also offer the added security of an annual maximum out-of-pocket cost limit. Once you’ve reached that limit, you’ll pay nothing for covered services until the end of your plan year.
