SoonerSelect Coverage

Welcome to Humana Healthy Horizons in Oklahoma. Our members get access to medical, hearing and vision coverage; behavioral health services and extra benefits. Our members must get these services from providers and facilities in our Humana network.

The only time you can get care from providers who are not in our network is for:

  • Emergency services
  • Any out-of-network provider that we approve you seeing

If you are transitioning to SoonerSelect, we will provide Continuity of Care for a period of 90 days from your enrollment. This means that during the ninety (90) Day Continuity of Care Period, Prior Authorizations, care plans, current services, and Provider relationships can remain in place, without concern that providers are not currently Participating Providers.

Behavioral Health Services

When you or your family members need a place to turn for mental health and/or substance use issues, our behavioral health services can help. As your healthcare partner, we want to make sure you get the care you need to be healthy, so you can focus on the days ahead.

Medical Coverage

SoonerSelect provides benefits covered by your plan. Your health benefits help you stay as healthy as possible if you:

  • Are pregnant
  • Are sick or injured
  • Experience a substance use disorder or have other behavioral health care needs
  • Need help getting to the doctor’s office
  • Need medications

You can get some services without going to your PCP. Refer to your Member Handbook, PDF for more information.

Covered medical services include:

  • Allergy testing
  • Alternative treatment for pain management
  • Ambulance or emergency transportation
  • Chemotherapy
  • Clinic services
  • Diabetes education
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Emergency room/department
  • Family planning services
  • Hearing services
  • Home health services
  • Vaccines and immunizations
  • Inpatient hospital services
  • Laboratory, x-ray, diagnostic imaging and imaging scans
  • Prescription drug coverage
  • Preventive care and screenings
  • School-based health-related services
  • Telehealth
  • And more!

Prior authorization

Humana may need to approve some treatments and services before you receive them. Humana Healthy Horizons in Oklahoma may also need to approve some treatments or services for you to continue receiving them. Typically, your primary care provider (PCP) will submit the prior authorization request to Humana on your behalf.

Virtual Doctor Visits

As a Humana member, you can meet with your doctor by audio or video if they offer this type of service. Many doctors offer audio and video visits if you are well or sick. This is called telehealth. During an audio and video visit, you can:

  • Discuss your health concerns
  • Talk to your doctor about your medications
  • And more!

If your doctor does not offer audio and video visits, we can help you find a doctor who does by calling Member Services at 855-233-9868 TTY:711.
