Planned Parenthood® update

A new federal law (Section 71113 of the Budget Reconciliation Act) took effect on July 4, 2025. This law changes which providers Medicaid can cover.

  • Medicaid can no longer cover services from providers considered “prohibited entities.”
  • Planned Parenthood is included in this group.
  • Services you receive from Planned Parenthood are not covered or reimbursed by your Medicaid plan.

Medicaid fraud alert

Medicaid fraud warning: Criminals are targeting Medicaid recipients for sensitive, personal, and financial information. If you get a call, text, or email about Medicaid benefits that ask for Social Security Number, payment, bank, debit, or credit card information, do not respond. The communications are not from the State of Ohio or any agency. Instead, report it to the Ohio Attorney General by calling 800-282-0515 or www.ohioprotects.org opens in new window .

Our members' health, safety, and wellness is our highest priority. We are here to support you during public health emergencies or disasters. We partner with organizations and agencies in Ohio to make sure our members have the support and resources they need, from access to healthy food to in-person and phone support from care managers.
