Medicaid fraud alert
Medicaid fraud warning: Criminals are targeting Medicaid recipients for sensitive, personal, and financial information. If you get a call, text, or email about Medicaid benefits that ask for Social Security Number, payment, bank, debit, or credit card information, do not respond. The communications are not from the State of Ohio or any agency. Instead, report it to the Ohio Attorney General by calling 800-282-0515 or
Exciting changes to Ohio’s Medicaid program effective Feb. 1, 2023
The Next Generation managed care plans have been implemented to provide personalized benefits to members which best fit their individual healthcare needs. The Next Generation program is designed to address health inequities and disparities and achieve optimal outcomes for the holistic well-being of individuals receiving Medicaid.
The Next Generation managed care plan changes do not apply to the MyCare Ohio program, which will continue to provide benefits to Ohioans who receive both Medicaid and Medicare benefits, with enhanced coordination of medical, behavioral, and long-term care services.
Ohio Medicaid managed care members should have received a Next Generation Ohio Medicaid managed care Member ID card prior to February 1, 2023, from us. Use that card beginning on February 1, 2023, when going to a pharmacy or physician.
If you haven’t received a new Member ID card, you can still receive services and have prescriptions filled. Bring your old Member ID card with you to the physician or pharmacy and contact Humana Healthy Horizons in Ohio at 877-856-5702 (TTY: 711) to learn more about how to print your Member ID card, access an electronic version, and/or request a new member ID card.

We also will email and/or text a link to the newsletter to our members who opt in for this type of communication. You can tell us through your MyHumana account if we can email or text you.

Our members' health, safety, and wellness is our highest priority. We are here to support you during public health emergencies or disasters. We partner with organizations and agencies in Ohio to make sure our members have the support and resources they need, from access to healthy food to in-person and phone support from care managers.
